Meet Kristina!

Meet Kristina!

Over the past 18 months of war, we have met many amazing people, and it is so important that we tell these stories.
I would like to start today with our newest friend, Kristina.

We met with her for the first time in August, when we donated an X-Trail loaded down with medical supplies to her.
From this first meeting, I have wanted to tell her story as much as she wants to tell it to us.

So, in her own words, and pictures, it is my great pleasure and honour to introduce you to Kristina.

Hello!
My name is Kristina Voronovska!
I’m Ukrainian volunteer, who created project UAMIGHT, which includes NGO KYIVTYL and charitable fund KYIVSVIT
I’m volunteering since the very beginning of war, as I couldn’t join the army due to lackage of military experience. But I’m happy that I can serve my country right now as an independent volunteer.
I’ve been working in several projects in different fields:
Fundraising for military needs
Distributing supplies for militaries and civilians, received by donors
Used to run a warehouse in Kyiv first three months of war, supplying militaries and civilians in Kyiv region, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Luhansk regions.
Run a hot kitchen for militaries, supplied militaries and civilians with home made frozen food in Kyiv and Chernihiv regions
Been throughout the whole frontline, supplying militaries and civilians
Had an experience of crisis response during Kahovka Dam disaster
Fascilitating volunteer work on East and South frontline
Running several projects on Donbas (asphalt fixing project, water filtration project, which just started, helping to organize donor and sponsorship for rebuilding affected areas. In plans - animal shelter and rescue center on Donbas)
Working as a translator in military and civilian missions
Helping as fixer in documentary projects
Had experience in civilian evacuations
Used to work as a translator, driver and paramedic assistant on medevac and casevac.
Organized tactical medical trainings for volunteers and militaries
It’s hard to believe than one person can do all that activities. But I’ve dedicated my life to war, as my family is far away now, and of course, I want to bring them country back, so they can come back and live a peaceful life in our country.

She is but one shining example of the dedication and hard work that many Ukrainians are doing at the moment, and I am very proud to know her.

Please, dear friends, know this. The money you help to raise, through your donations, your hard work and your dedication to the cause go directly to Kristina and to Olena whose story we will tell another time.

These people deserve our support and we will continue to help them for as long as it takes.

Thank you for all your help and support and long may it continue.
