For the longest time, members of Wagner were forbidden from carrying any form of unit or national identification. Even their dog tags only carried a number and a link to a website. Before the 2022 Invasion of Ukraine, wagner worked in various countries, including Syria, where they fought against ISIS near Palmyra. When local groups claimed wagners work for themselves, wagner soon created their first "official" patch, the ISIS Hunter. 
Such patches were only made in small numbers, issued to selected members, rarely gifted to local partner. Even among those in wagner, this would be a most desirable piece, a mark of honor. The previous owner of this piece was active in Syria, before the Invasion of Ukraine, a member of Wagner when it was secret still. Then he came to Ukraine and died.

All proceeds from the sale of these patches will go towards helping members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
